As I write this it is almost fifteen-below-zero here in Big Rapids, Michigan and everything is frozen. Yesterday the sun was out, only because it was too cold for clouds to form. And there is more snow scheduled for today and pretty much the rest of the week. The local papers tell me that this is one of the coldest winters in 100 years. It certainly is cold enough for me. Every day the snow is piled a little higher.
I tend to stay at home anyway, but I like to have the option to go outside and right now that is probably not the best option for me. Driving is like a toboggan run. It is a job just keeping the house warm and food is high on the list of things that spring to mind.
I can't bear to even think how the wild animals can survive this.
