I wish every Facebook friend the happiest of New Years. That being said, I must confess I did not stay up to see it roll in. I never do. I always sleep the old year out, but I am up very early on this New Year. Remember, I am an astrologer and it is the Winter Solstice that I mark and celebrate as the beginning of a new year. That is when the day gets darkest, stops falling, and then begins to move northward again. New Year for me is just a calendrical thing.
I know. I am a serious party-pooper about all of this, and it is not that I am a contrarian, but more that I am tired at night and not interested in pushing on to Midnight just for fun. Nevertheless, I do wish everyone well and I did spend some time making this photograph to share. Happy New Year!
